A post-graduate in Physics from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee), and an MSc in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics (LSE), UK, R K Sharma served as a Lecturer in Physics in Dehradun before joining the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in 1978. A PhD  and Gold Medalist in Journalism and Mass Communication from TMV, Pune, Prof Sheebu Nair has been a former University Lecturer and a Member of the Board of Studies.
