Can an ordinary life be worth choosing?

On a day Noah can no longer find a reason to go on, a blind black cat leads him to a cottage hidden from the world. There, he meets Olive, a blue-eyed girl who seems to have been waiting for him, and Mr. D, a strange guide who knows the life Noah has lived…and the different lives he might yet live.

As the branches of those lives unfold before him, each with its own beauty and loss, Noah must choose which one to return to, and finally face the question that has haunted him for years.
