Product Description
The Dnyaneshwari is revered as the greatest commentary on the Bhagawadgeeta and a timeless treasure of Indian philosophy. For the 700 shlokas of the Geeta, it offers over 9,000 ovis (verses), unfolding the deeper meanings (Bhavartha) of each shlok. More than a commentary, it serves as a living, experiential guide that leads seekers toward liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
As language evolves, ancient texts often become difficult for modern readers. This challenge is especially true for the 730 plus year-old Dnyaneshwari by Saint Dnyaneshwar. This translation presents the Dnyaneshwari in simple English and Marathi, preserving its philosophy and insights. Every Ovi is rendered in plain English and simple Marathi, allowing readers to grasp the meaning with ease.
The Dnyaneshwari explains the Aatman and its realization. It also integrates and harmonises various spiritual paths - Bhaktiyog, Dnyanayog, Buddhiyog, and Karmayog. Volume One covers adhyayas (Chapters) One to Eight of Dnyaneshwari.
