Salt and Paper is a collection of short stories and essays that move between memoir and fiction — observations made while walking, confessions about the act of writing itself, and longer pieces that wander into questions of identity, belonging, time and the quiet machinery of change. It is a book about what gets left behind and what gets carried forward: a library that becomes evidence of a life, a tattoo that outlives the moment it was given for, a mug that breaks and is mended wrong before it is mended right. About the body and the mind living separately for a while and having to come back together. About the languages we inherit and the ones we choose. About hate as a full time job, fandom as a purer form of worship than prayer, and the grids we use to measure a life we can never fully see from the inside.
